Selection Process : The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper and Typing Test/ Skill Test. Process are as follows :-
1. Online Written Exam (Objective Type)
2. Written Exam (Descriptive Exam)
3. Typing/ Skill Test
4. Interview & Document Verification

Delhi High Court Junior Judicial Assistant Pre & Mains Exam Pattern 2023 : Important Points related to Judicial Assistant Exams are as follows :

  1. Paper will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions & Descriptive Type Questions Only. The questions will be in English
    language only.
  2. Time Duration for Judicial Assistant Pre Exam is 120 Minutes (02 Hours) each for Objective & Descriptive test
  3. Each question will carry 01 (one) mark. There shall be 01 (one) mark for each correct answer. There
    shall be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  4. Objective Test would be qualifying in nature. The merit will be prepared on the basis of Descriptive Type Test.
  5. 15 Times Candidates will be called for Stage II/ Main (Descriptive Exam).

NOTE : For being qualified in the MCQ test, the candidates (General Category) will have to score minimum of 50% marks i.e. 60 Marks (50% of 120 Marks) and candidates (under reserved category) will have to score minimum 45 % marks i.e. 54 Marks (45% of 120 Marks).

For qualifying the descriptive test (General Category) candidates will have to score 50 % marks i.e. 50 Marks (50% of 100 Marks) and for candidates (under reserved category will have to score minimum of 45 % marks i.e. 45 Marks (45% of 100 Marks) subject to a upper limit of 15 times of the total vacancies available.

General English & Comprehension : Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/ Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/ Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/ Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage.

General Knowledge (Including Current Affair) : Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research. Important Topics for Current Affairs are :

  • Current Affairs (National and International)
  • Major Financial / Economic News
  • Budget and Five Year Plans
  • Sports
  • Books and Authors
  • Awards and Honors
  • Science – Inventions and Discoveries

General Intelligence : It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on Semantic Analogy, Symbolic operations, Symbolic/ Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation, Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/ Number Classification, Drawing inferences, Figural Classification,
Punched hole/ pattern-folding & unfolding , Semantic Series, Figural Pattern – folding and completion, Number Series, Embedded figures, Figural Series, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, Word Building, Social Intelligence, Coding and de-coding, Other sub-topics, if any Numerical operations.

Tier-II:-
Skill Test (Typing Test) for the posts of Junior Judicial Assistant: typing test @ 35 w.p.m. This skill test will be of qualifying in nature. Typing Test Duration will be 10 Minutes

Personal Interviews :Interview of 25 Marks (for Maximum of ten times of the total vacancies) will be conducted for the post of Junior Judicial Assistant The minimum passing marks for General Category candidates will be 12.5 marks (40% of 25 marks) and for Reserved Category (including PWD) candidates will be 11 Marks(round of) (35% of 25 marks).
