Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has organized awaited Computer Based Exam for Lineman Apprentice Posts. Written Exam was conducted under Online Mode. It should be noted that Earlier PSPCL has announced 1500 Vacancies for Lineman. Punjab State power Corporation Ltd. (PSPCL), a power generating and distributing organization of Government of Punjab is inviting application from the candidates who have completed ITI in WIREMAN/ELECTRICIAN trade for Apprenticeship in Lineman trade against the seats. PSPCL Lineman Result 2023 : As Exam was conducted under Online Mode, PSPCL will upload Online Exam Result on its Official Website. As Per Schedule published by PSPCL, Online Exam for Lineman conducted in April 2023. Result may take 1 or 2 months time so Result can announce in May or June 2023. Exam was held in 3 Shifts. Exam for 1st Shift conducted from 09 to 11 AM, 2nd Shift Exam from 12:30 to 2:30 PM & 3rd Shift Exam from 04 to 06 PM.

About PSPCL Apprentice Online Exam : Written Exam was conduct in Online Mode & have multiple Choice Type Question. There was 100 Questions in Exam. Questions was asked from Questions related to the wireman/electrician trade, Knowledge of Punjabi Grammar, General Knowledge. There was No Negative Marking in Computer Based Exam.
NOTE : The minimum qualifying marks in the online test for All Category candidates is 20%.
PSPCL Exam Cut Off deciding Factors : PSPCL Lineman Cut Off Marks 2023 Written Exam will be decided as follows :
- There is no sectional cut off. So No Limitation on Candidates to attain minimum Marks in each Section
- Cut Off will depend on Exam Level & No. of Candidates appeared in Exam.
- Next Stage of for Lineman post is Document Verification. So Written Exam cut off will vary according to that.
- Cut Off will decide Category wise for General, OBC, SC/ ST & Special Category Candidates.
PSPCL Lineman Expected Cut Off Marks 2023 Online Exam :

- General Candidates : 63-67 Marks
- BC Candidates : 61-65 Marks
- SC Candidates : 48-53 Marks
- PwD Candidates : 38-43 Marks
NOTE : The minimum qualifying marks in the online test for General Category candidates is 50% and for Reserve Category candidates is 40%.
NOTE : Exam could be spread across multiple shifts which will have different question paper for each shift. The normalization is to be done by considering the difficulty level of each set, since the questions may be different in different sets and difficulty level of a particular set may be different from other sets
After Result Process/ Final Merit List : The final merit shall be prepared based on the marks secured in the online test conducted. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks worked out after normalization in case exam is conducted in multiple shifts. Thus, raw marks may vary with normalized marks in the final merit list. In case online exam is conducted in a single shift, result/final merit list shall be prepared on the basis of actual marks secured by the candidate in online examination.
Document checking process : On the basis of result/final merit list, candidates who qualify in online examination shall be called for document checking. Verification of original documents/certificates would be conducted by document checking committee, for which the date shall be notified later through registered e-mail IDs (as mentioned by the candidate in his/her online application form) and on PSPCL’s website (www.pspcl.in) only. Thus, candidates are advised to mention their email IDs very carefully.
Offer of Joining: The offer of joining for the number of seats to be filled will be given to the successful candidates qualified for merit in the online test provided that the candidate has been found eligible after checking of his/her documents and have successfully completed the process of document checking relating to qualifications and eligibility criteria such as age, academic qualification, passing of Punjabi language and certificates in respect of reservation etc.
Period of Apprenticeship :
The selected candidates shall undergo apprenticeship training under PSPCL for 1 year (as per Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 as amended from time to time). Apprenticeship is merely a 1 year training and it does not assure any kind of JOB/ appointment under PSPCL.
