EXAMINATION NOTICE NO. 04/2024 CDS-I COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAM (I), 2024 A Combined Defence Services Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in April, 2024 for admission to the under mentioned courses :—
- Indian Military Academy, Dehradun Course
- Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala Course Course
- Air Force Academy, Hyderabad—(Pre-Flying) Training Course
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Madras)—SSC (Men) Course (NT)
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai—SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course
UPSC will conduct Combined Defence Service Exam for above listed Course on 41 Centres. UPSC CDS 1 Exam Date 2024 is as follows :-
UPSC CDS 1 Exam Date 2024 : 21 April, 2024 SUNDAY
UPSC CDS 1 Admit Card Download : The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card for UPSC CDS 2 Exam are available in the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post. For downloading the eAdmit Card the candidate must have his/her vital parameters like RID & Date of Birth or Roll No. (if received) & date of birth or name, Father’s name & Date of Birth available with him/her.

UPSC CDS Exam Pattern : UPSC CDS 1 Exam comprises of Written Exam & Interview. Some Points regarding exam are as follows :-
- For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy : There will be 3 Papers comprises of 100 Marks each. Time Duration for Each paper is 2 hour.
- For Admission to Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) : There will be 2 Papers comprises of 100 Marks each. Time Duration for Each paper is 2 hour.
- The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers (Test Booklets) of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English.
NOTE : The maximum marks allotted to the written examination and to the interviews will be equal for each course i.e. the maximum marks allotted to the written examination and to the interviews will be 300, 300, 300 and 200 each for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers’ Training Academy respectively.
