Indian Navy has earlier invited online applications from unmarried male candidates for enrolment as sailors for 1400 vacancies for Senior Secondary Recruit (Agniveer SSR) 01/2023 batch. Indian Navy conduct Sailor SSR Exam in the month of January 2023. Indian Navy will announce Result for Sailor Agniveer SSR Posts & upload List of Successful candidates on its official website. Indian Navy has organized Agniveer Sailor SSR 01/2023 Batch Exam in Jan 2023. Candidates who qualified in Computer Based Test will be called for Next Stage of recruitment. Results of the online examination will be announced tentatively after 30 days.

Selection Process : Selection of recruits is based on State wise merit of their performance in Computer-based Examination, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations. Indian Navy SSR Exam was of Objective Type comprised 100 Questions carrying 100 Marks. The question paper comprised of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge. There was Negative Marking of 0.25 Marks in Exam.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) :
(a) Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.
(b) PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Process after Indian Navy Agniveer SSR Online Exam Result:

  • Merit lists for AA and SSR will be prepared based on performance in written examination subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT), as follows:-
    (a) AA- Top 600 candidates (approx.) on all India order of merit, who meet the eligibility criteria for
    AA will be issued call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka.
    (b) SSR- Approximately 2500 candidates will be issued call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state wise merit.
    Note:- The cut off marks for issue of call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka may vary from state to state for SSR entry.
  • Candidates who are qualified in PFT will undergo Preliminary Recruitment medical examination. Candidates declared Temporary Medically Unfit in the Preliminary Recruitment medicals can avail specialist review from the specified Military Hospital within a maximum period of 21 days. No further review/ appeal is permissible if declared unfit in the specialist review.
  • The documents submitted by the candidates along with application will not be verified before the online examination. These original documents {original certificates, mark sheets, Domicile certificate and NCC certificate (if held)} will be verified at the time of PFT and again before final enrolment at INS Chilka

Indian Navy Agniveer SSR Cut Off Marks/ Merit List 2023 : The qualifying cut off marks for appearing in PFT & Preliminary Recruitment Medical may vary from State to State. Allocation of centres for PFT and Preliminary Recruitment Medical Examination will be at the discretion of the Indian Navy. A State wise merit list will be published for candidates who have passed in PFT and Preliminary Recruitment Medical Examination depending upon vacancies. In case of candidates securing similar cut off marks in Computer Based Examination, the candidate with higher percentage in the qualifying examination i.e 10th will be selected for Final Enrolment Medicals at INS Chilka.
NOTE : In case of candidates securing similar cut off marks in Computer Based Examination, the candidate with higher percentage in the qualifying examination i.e 10+2 will be selected for Final Enrolment Medicals at INS Chilka (The percentage will be calculated taking into consideration best of five subjects including Maths and Physics).

Indian Navy Agniveer SSR Final result Information : The cut off marks for appearing in written examination may vary from State to State. All PFT qualified candidates will only be considered for preparation of merit list.
(c) The merit list will be available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. All selected candidates will be called at INS Chilka for Enrolment Medicals. The selection of a candidate will stand cancelled and he will have no claim for enrolment in the Indian Navy in case the candidate fails to report on the date and time mentioned in call letter for Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka. Enrolment will be subject to Fitness in Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka.
(d) The candidate’s selection pertaining to a particular batch is valid for that batch only. Qualified candidates whose names do not appear in the merit list cannot claim admission for the next batch. These candidates will have to undergo the selection procedure afresh, provided they meet the eligibility criteria for the fresh batch
