Notification No. NER/RRC/Act Apprentice/2023-24 ACT APPRENTICE TRAINING NOTIFICATION 2023-24 Online applications are invited from the candidates fulfilling the prescribed conditions for undergoing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules. 1962, in the following units of North Eastern Railway :

Total : 1104 Posts. Workshop/ Unit wise Vacancies are as follows :

• Mechanical Workshop/ Gorakhpur : 411 Posts
• Signal Workshop/ Gorakhpur Cantt : 63 Posts
• Bridge Workshop /Gorakhpur Cantt : 35 Posts
• Mechanical Workshop/ Izzatnagar : 151 Posts
• Diesel Shed / Izzatnagar : 60 Posts
• Carriage & Wagon /lzzatnagar : 64 Posts
• Carriage & Wagon / Lucknow Jn : 155 Posts
• Diesel Shed / Gonda : 90 Posts
• Carriage & Wagon /Varanasi : 75 Posts

Age Limit – The candidates must not be less than 15 years of age and not more than 24 years of age as on 25.11.2023. In the case of SC/ST candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years and in the case of OBC candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years. For Divyang candidates maximum 10 years age relaxation is permitted.

Essential Qualifications – The candidate should have already passed the prescribed qualification of High School/10th with minimum 50% marks & ITI in notified trade on the date of issue of notification. i.e. 25.11.2023.

Processing Fee – The candidates will have to pay Rs.100/- as processing fee. SC/ST/EWS/Divyang (PwBD)/Women candidates are exempted from payment of processing fee.

Mode of Application – Candidates are required to submit their applications & processing fee (Rs.100/-) online through N. E. Railway’s website www.ner.indianrailways.gov.in. Before submitting online application, the candidate should ensure himself/herself that he/she is eligible under this notification. Server will be opened at 10.00 hrs on 25.11.2023 for online application and will be closed at 17.00 hrs on 24.12.2023.

The North Eastern was formed on 14th April 1952 by combining two Railway systems (Oudh and Tirhut Railway and Assam Railway) and Cawnpore-Achnera section of the BB & CIR. It was bifurcated into two Railway Zones on 15th Jan. 1958 – North Eastern Railway and North East Frontier Railway. The present N. E. Railway (NER), after re-organisation of Railway Zones in 2002, comprises of three Divisions – Varanasi, Lucknow & Izatnagar. NER has 3450 route kms with 486 stations. NER primarily serves the areas of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand & western districts of Bihar.

North Easter Railway will invite Online Applications for Various Group C & D Posts for Lucknow, Izzatnagar & Varanasi regions. Railway NER has to complete this process within 05 Years. Information regarding Vacancies, Posts, Age Limit, Educational Qualification, Fee & How to Apply is given below….

Details of Vacancies : 14000 Posts (Expected). There will be recruitment on following Posts :

• Assistant Loco Pilot
• Assistant Station Master
• Guard
• Gateman
• Gangman
• Trackman
• Train Clerk
• Clerk

Age Limit : Age Limit can be 18 to 31 Years. The lower and upper age limit indicated for a particular post(s) in the vacancy table will be reckoned as on 01.07.2019. Age Relaxation for SC/ ST Candidates is 5 Years & OBC Candidates is 3 Years.

Educational Qualification :

Group D Posts : 10th pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT (OR) 10th pass plus ITI from institutions recognised by NCVT/SCVT.
Note :Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of course completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI. Also, Graduate Act Apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.

Group C Posts : Candidate must have Graduation Degree from recognized Institute or College. wait for Official Notice for details

Pay Scale : Details will be mention in Official Notice.

Application Fee : Candidates has to submit Application Fee in following manner :
General/ OBC Candidates : Rs. 500/-
For Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ PWDs/ Female/ Transgender/ Minorities / Economically backward class : Rs. 250/-. This fee of Rs. 250 shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in CBT.

Selection Process : There shall be a Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates qualified in the CBT shall have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Typing Test/ Aptitude test as per qualification. Marks will be normalized in the CBT.
