NOTIFICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF ACT APPRENTICES OVER BLW FOR YEAR 2022-23
Advt. No. DLW/P/Rectt./Act. Apprentice/46th Batch/ITI & Non ITI/22-23 Banaras Locomotive Works invites applications from interested Applicants for engagement as Act Apprentices against the 374 slots notified for training in the designated Trades under Apprentice Act 1961 in the designated trades at Workshops/Unit within the jurisdiction of Northeast Frontier Railways for the year 2022-23. Details of Vacancies : 374 Act Apprentice Posts. Candidates for act apprentice training under Apprentice act, 1961. Vacancies are for ITI & Non ITI. Trade wise Vacancies are as follows :
ITI Apprentice : 300 Posts
- Fitter : 107 Posts
- Carpenter : 03 Posts
- Painter(Gen.) : 07 Posts
- Machinist : 67 Posts
- Welder(G&E) : 45 Posts
- Electrician : 71 Posts
Non ITI Apprentice : 74 Posts
- Fitter : 30 Posts
- Machinist : 15 Posts
- Welder (G&E) : 11 Posts
- Electrician : 18 Posts
Age limit : Candidate must have completed 15 years and should not be more than 24 years of age as on 25.11.2022. The upper age limit may be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates.
Educational Qualification : The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also possess National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training. Copies of mark sheet & pass certificates of matriculation (10thstd), provisional certificate/ National trade certificate (NTC) certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in the case of ITI and ITI Final Mark-Sheet must be uploaded. Mere completion of course is not sufficient. Candidates should have already passed the prescribed qualification on the date of issue of notification.
The period of apprenticeship and stipend : Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices and they will undergo apprenticeship training for a period of 1 year for each trade. They will be paid stipend during their training as per the rules. Their training will be terminated after the completion of their apprenticeship.
PAYMENT OF FEES :
- Application fees (Non-refundable) : Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only).
- Fee payment will have to be made online through payment gateway as part of online application process as under : Once the online application is complete in all respects at RRC/ BLWs website

How to Apply : Applicants are required to apply ONLINE by visiting https://blw.indianrailways.gov.in/ Detailed instructions for filling up ONLINE applications will be available on the website. Candidates can apply online on https://blw.indianrailways.gov.in/ from 26.10.2023 to 25.11.2023 Applicants are required to fill up the personal details/ Trade/ Aadhaar number/ Marks/CGPA/ preference for Divisions/ Workshops etc. very carefully as the Computerized Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the information filled by the Applicant in the application form. In case of any discrepancy observed at the time of Document Verification, the Applicant will be disqualified summarily. Candidates can Apply Online till 25 November 2023
