No. CC /08/2023 dtd. 26.09.2023 Recruitment of fresh Engineering Graduates for Executive positions as ENGINEER TRAINEE-2024 in Electrical/ Electronics/ Civil/ Computer Science disciplines through GATE-2024 POWERGRID, the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of India, one of the largest Transmission Utilities in the World and a Maharatna Enterprise of Govt. of India is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, coordination, supervision and control over complete Inter-State transmission system. POWERGRID operates around 161,864 circuit kms. of transmission lines along with 248 Sub-stations and wheels about 50% of total power generated in the country through its transmission network.

| Age Limit | For ET Engineer – 28 years as on 31.12.2023. For ET Finance – 33 years as on 15.10.2023 (Candidates should be born on or after 15.10.1990 or before 15.10.2005). Reservation/ Relaxation/ Concession to candidates belonging to OBC (NCL)/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ PwD/ Ex-SM/ J&K Domicile / Victims of Riots category shall be as per Government of India directives. |
| Educational Qualification | Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) from recognized University/ Institute Final Year / Semester students who expect their final results by 14.08.2023 are also eligible to apply, provided they have obtained minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/ years up to pre-final examination. In case of selection, their candidature shall be subject to their securing minimum 60% marks in essential qualification. Such candidates need to mention their marks up to pre-final examination while filling up the online application form for POWERGRID. |
| Pay Scale | The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package and is one of the best in the industry. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000 during the one-year training period. On regularization, the Compensation package includes Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Perquisites and Allowance as per cafeteria approach, Performance Related Pay, Company Leased Accommodation / Company Quarters or HRA, Reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure, mobile facility, PF, Gratuity, Pension & Leave encashment, Group Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance etc |
| Application Fee | Candidates other than SC/ST/PwD and Ex-SM are required to submit Application Fee of Rs. 500/- as detailed below. |
| Selection Process | The selection process will include the marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the GATE 2024, followed by Behavioral Assessment, Group Discussion and Personal Interview of the qualified candidates who are shortlisted category wise for the GD and interview. |

How to Apply :
From 16 Jan 2023 onwards, candidates have to register themselves online at POWERGRID website www.powergridindia.com with details of their GATE 2024 registration number and other required information.
Online application shall close on 18 February 2024.
GATE Registration No. as appearing on the GATE 2024 Admit Card needs to be entered carefully in the online application form. No other number should be entered as GATE 2024 Registration number while applying to POWERGRID. Please note that once your application is submitted, no request regarding change in GATE Registration Number or Name shall be entertained. Enter your name and other details exactly as entered in your GATE admit card.
