The details of approximate posts to be included in Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services (General Recruitment / Special Recruitment) Examination carrying the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- are as follows:-

Presently the number of vacancies for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination is about 173. Number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending upon the circumstances/ requirement
Age Limit (as on 01.07.2023) Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2023 i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2nd
July, 1983 and not later than July 1, 2002. For Pwds candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years i.e. they must have not been born before 02 July, 1968.
Educational Qualification The candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any recognised University or equivalent qualification upto the last date for receipt of application. This should be mentioned by the candidate in the relevant column of their application form but for some posts specific qualifications have been prescribed. Candidate must have passed Graduation. Age Relaxation : For the Combined State/Upper Sub-ordinate Services (General Recruitment / Special Recruitment) Examination and Assistant Conservator of Forest/ Range Forest Officer Services Examination:- Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2022 i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1982 and not later than July 1, 2001. For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years i.e. they must have not been born before 02 July, 1965.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit : Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: (a) Upper age limit shall be greater by five years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes of U.P., Scheduled Tribes of U.P., Other Backward Classes of U.P., Skilled players of U.P. of Classified Games, State Govt. Employees of U.P. including Teachers / Staff of the Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P. and Teachers / Staff of the Government Aided Madhyamik Vidyalayas of U.P. i.e. they must have not been born before 2nd July, 1978. (b) Upper age limit shall be greater by fifteen years for Persons with Disabilities (Pwds) of U.P. (c) Upper age limit shall also be greater by 3 years + Period of service rendered in army for The Emergency Commissioned Officers / Short Service Commissioned Offices / ExArmy personnels of U.P.

Reservation : The reservation for Scheduled Castes of U.P./Scheduled Tribes of U.P./Other Backward Class candidates of U.P. shall be admissible in accordance with the provisions of relevant Govt. Rules. Accordingly, reservation for category under horizontal as Dependents of Freedom Fighters of U.P, Ex-Serviceman of U.P., P.H. of U.P. and Women candidates shall be admissible on settlement of vacancies. Reservation for P.H. of U.P. shall be permissible for the notified / identified Posts. Similarly 10% reservation to Economically weaker Sections (EWSs) is admissible for such candidates who are not covered under the existing scheme of reservation for the Scheduled Castes the Scheduled Tribes and Other Back Word classes and who are domicile of U.P. State

How to Apply for PCS 2023 Exam: In Online Application System, the candidates have to provide their Mobile No. in prescribed column failing which their Basic Registration shall not be completed. All relevant information’s / instructions / OTP (One time password) shall be sent through sms on that mobile. Candidates can Apply Online from UPPSC Official Website. UPPSC PCS 2023 Online Application has started from 03 March 2023. Candidates need to follow given steps to fill UP PCS 2023 Online Application Form/ uppsc pcs notification date 2023 :-

  • Candidates can Apply under Online Mode from the Official Website (http://uppsc.up.nic.in).
  • Candidates are required to have Valid Email Id & Mobile No as Important Details like Registration No. & Password will be sent to this EMail Id or Mobile No.
  • Candidates should have 10th, 12th, Graduation Mark sheets to fill Online Application Correctly.
  • Scanned Copy of Recent Photography & Signature (In Prescribed Size).
  • Link for Online Application & Fee Payment is available from 03 March 2023. Candidates can submit their Fee up to Date mention in Notification.
  • Candidates need to take Print Out of Filled Application Form for future Reference.
  • All the candidates before submission application fee check all the entry fill in the form is corrected because after fee submission under any circumstances fee should not be refundable. Last date to Submit Application Form will announce soon.
