UP VDO Selection Process 2024 : Selection for UP VDO Post will purely based on Merit of Written Exam. After Written Exam, Document Verification will be conducted for successful candidates. As Interviews has been scrapped from Group C Posts so there can be no Interview this time. So Written Exam is main to get VDO Job in Uttar Pradesh.

UP VDO Exam Pattern 2024 : Written Test comprises of Following Points :-

• Written Exam will consists of Objective Multiple Choice Type Questions.
• Written Exam can be conducted in Either Online Mode or Offline Mode.
• There can be 100 Questions in Exam comprises of 100 Marks.
• Time Duration for Written Test is 120 Minutes (2 Hours).
• There will be Negative Marking of 1/4 Marks in UP VDO Exam 2023.
• There can be No Interview in Exam. Written Exam Pattern can be as follows

UPSSSC VDO Syllabus 2024 :- UPSSSC Gram Panchayat Adhikari Syllabus is as follows :

Part-1

i. History of Panchayati Raj system and constitutional provisions regarding them :

Traditional Panchayats and British Era Panchayat System, Panchayati Raj System after Independence, Committees formed for the strengthening of Panchayati Raj System and Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Act, Constitutional basis of Panchayati Raj system and constitutional provisions, arrangements and important amendments related to Panchayati Raj system in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

ii. Present Form of Panchayats (in the context of state of Uttar Pradesh)

Legislative provision, form and powers of Panchayat institutions, Election/reservation system in Panchayats, Role of State Election Commission in Panchayat Election, Constitution of Gram Panchayats/Committees of Panchayats, Rights/ Responsibilities and Duties of Gram Panchayats in the context of Uttar Pradesh, Panchayati Raj System: Challenges and Solutions.

iii. Financial sources and action plan of Panchayats

Taxes & cess collected at Panchayat level and other sources of income. Structure, powers and activities of the State Finance Commission, Central Finance Commission and its role in financial empowerment of Panchayat Institutions, Performance Grant Scheme of the Central Government, Gram Panchayat Development Plan, Steps taken by the Government of Uttar Pradesh for financial empowerment of Panchayats.

iv. Measures to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system

Panchayat Citizen Charter, Panchayat Secretariat/Gram Secretariat and role of Panchayat Sahayak, Co-establishment of Common Service Center in Panchayat Bhavan, Implementation of Public Welfare Schemes at Panchayat level, Establishment of e-Governance in Panchayats, Family Register and Birth – Death Registration.

v. Rural Development Schemes and Programs (in the context of state of Uttar Pradesh)

Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA), Swachh Bharat Mission and Rural Drinking Water Scheme (Phase-1 & Phase- 2), Rural Health Schemes, Other schemes and Programs in rural areas run by Government of India, Panchayati Raj Department and other departments of Government of Uttar Pradesh.

vi. Role of Village Panchayat Officers in the development of Rural Areas

Role as Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, as Birth and Death Registration Officer, Role in making Adarsh Gram Panchavat, Role in making Self-Reliant Gram Panchayat.

Knowledge of concepts of Computer and Information Technology and Contemporary Technological Development and Innovation in this field

Introduction of computer and information technology, knowledge of hardware, software, operating system, spreadsheet, e-mail, social networking, e-governance, digital financial tools and applications, Internet and World Wide Web (WWW).
